Alessandro Dell’Acqua debuted his signature pret-a-porter collection at Milano Moda Donna in March, 1996. Combining sharp tailoring with sensuality and femininity, it was greeted with rave reviews, and heralded his arrival as a new and important Italian designer.
In June 2002, he was awarded the “Oscar della Moda” for “New Women’s Designer” by the Italian fashion community.
In October 2004 Alessandro Dell’Acqua started designing La Perla pret-a-porter collection.
May 2008: Alessandro Dell’Acqua is the new Creative Director of Malo and his first collection is launched in September during NY fashion week. 2010 is the year for a big chance and sees the debut of the new brand: N°21. As creative director he decided to concentrate all his energy on a new project reinventing his vision on a collection that mixes up his great experience as designer, with a new approach towards a contemporary and wearable ready-to-wear collection.
The brand is now well-known and established and it hasn’t taken him long to develop a recognizable signature. Since January 2014 a new challenge start from PITTI UOMO with N°21 first Menswear Collection: a sort of natural and spontaneous evolution of women’s concept towards a new way of living and playing Menswear design with exclusive style.
